Job Description - Product Marketing Manager (Beijing)


Overview

Yi Shi Yi Se (VICE China) is seeking a full-time Product Marketing Manager to be based in the Beijing office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the promotion and selling of the company’s owned products to the audience, including, but not limited to, product positioning, expanding outbound marketing and communication, and analyzing potential customers for the product. He/She will work closely with the development and marketing teams in adjusting and improving existing and new products, developing products by identifying potential market opportunities; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction & marketing strategies. The Product Marketing Manager will be the evangelist that helps successfully communicate our stories and products to customers and audiences who love culture, content and entertainment.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Understand the audience (decision makers, influencers and end-users) and put together the right story that conveys our value proposition and driving greater awareness of and perception by target audiences for Yi Shi Yi Se (VICE China).

  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market.

  • Build and implement the right marketing plans and overall go-to-market strategy through our solution and channel partners to scale successfully.

  • Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of the products.

  • Work in a cross-functional team with engineering, operations, finance, and marketing & communications through the complete product development cycle.

  • Manage the process used to define a product’s features.

  • Analyze market trends of the APP store, as well as competition in the industry.

  • Collect global customer, developer, and partner requirements for future product development.

  • Work closely with other colleagues under the Marketing & Communications Department on the development of product launch activities, press releases, and marketing materials.

  • Closely follow emerging technology, consumer, and societal trends and make recommendations for how products will leverage or fit into those emerging trends.

  • Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations to pursue in future products.


Qualifications 

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, and Computer Science are preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of online products management or market management experience, customer needs analysis, content development, offer creations leveraged by our field and channel.

  • Deep passion, and ideally experience, for culture and media

  • Skilled in working closely with engineering/technical teams from an in-bound marketing perspective.

  • Local candidate with strong oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English, as well as demonstrated success as a product spokesperson.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of iOS and Android systems, especially of their respective characteristics and operational methods.

  • Passion in digital technology and deep knowledge in Chinese tech trends. Familiarity with the popular mobile APPs across the globe.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to work under pressure and achieve deadlines, while maintaining a positive and collaborative professional attitude.

  • Knowledge of the Yi Shi Yi Se (VICE) brand and its properties is essential.

  • Responsible for assisting Account Managers in handling Clients and ensuring all processes with respect to the project are completed efficiently and on-time

  • Building good working relationships with Clients and third-party contacts
